In the Helio P25, it is usually clocked at 2.5GHz or 2.6GHz, while in the Helio P20, it is clocked at 2.3GHz. Very often, the performance of smartphones based on P20 is similar to that of the devices with Helio P25 inside. Best mac internet download manager. Take for example the AnTuTu score.

Interestingly enough, Apple's current A13 Bionic mobile processor that powers the Apple iPhone 11, Pro, and Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max is not included in AnTuTu's rankings. However, I did my research and I found out that its average score of 459,000 to 481,000 is typically lower than the average mark of Exynos 990 in the area of 534,000 but higher than that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus.

AnonD-237381, 09 Feb 2017I just think that MediaTek SoCs are unreliable plus they are greedy on the sources.Sources realize is smartphone companies job..
Soc sources aren't enough to build rom.
You can find sources on HTC Sony or Lenovo that use Mediatek (not always full sources)
Some people even develop nougat on some exotic devices.

If famous brands use Mediatek, you will get sources

Anonymous, 09 Feb 201716nm helio p20 scores 64k antutu (vs 14nm sd625 62k).The helio p20 support lpddr4x ram upto 6g.. moreNice bro, many people just write down but they never use MT powered phone. I'm tester, I prefer SD but I'll tell you to don't underestimate MT just because they cheap price or other thing. This company grow up and get better, they will catch up overall again Qualcomm for sure, just wait. MT make our team surprise every year more than every other vendor do, they improvement is real and it's good to buyer. WHY I PREFER SD RATHER THAN MT, cause I'm using Flagship class, that why. If I want midranger than I never afraid to choose MT since probably I have test that phone before buy it. MT quality in Midrange chipset is good and decent.

I want to ask how p20's successor p25 supposed to be less powerful than sd200, also Sony opted to go with helio p20 in upcoming smartphone instead of sd625

MT's Helio P20 Antutu benchmark is about the same as QC's SD650 (P20 is ~4% faster) while using much less power. Helio P25 should be more on par with SD653 (& again, lower power consumption due to simpler cores & 16nm process).

Zargan, 08 Feb 2017Another octa A-53 garbage from Mediatek. Why dont they make a SOC with 2 A73+4 A35? This will .. moreThe 'P' series is aimed towards being power-efficient (and low-cost) above everything else, hence the exclusive use of super efficient A53 cores. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if MediaTek took a step forward (or backward, depending on who you ask) by changing their LITTLE cores in their big.LITTLE configuration to even more efficient A35 cores.
To ensure that the chipset stays reasonably powerful, MediaTek uses the same trick as in the Snapdragon 625, that is clocking the cores to a substantially high frequency. However, if you want to see the actually powerful chipsets that MediaTek makes check out their X20 - X27 (which employ 2 A72 cores) as well as the upcoming X30 chipset (which is supposed to employ the extremely powerful A73 cores).
Hope this answered your question :)

Performance
UMIDIGI S2 is based on a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 (MT6757) system-on-chip. It is built on the 16nm FinFET process by TSMC and packs eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores in two clusters with four cores each. The first one is clocked at 2.3GHz and the second - at 1.6GHz. A dual-core 900MHz Mali-T880 MP2 GPU manages the graphics department. This chipset is made for the higher mid-range smartphones and is ideal for multi-tab browsing, reading, video watching, game playing. Only very heavy workloads are a challenge for this chip and mainly heavy graphics handling. The S2 has 4GB of dual-channel, LPDDR4X RAM, clocked at 1600MHz and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable with up to 256GB. Of the 64GB, 53GB are available to the user. The S2 is the first Helio P20-based smartphone we have reviewed. Actually, its Helio P25 sibling has found a wider adoption and powers six other smartphones, which we have reviewed: Doogee MIX, Ulefone Armor 2, Ulefone T1, Blackview BV8000 Pro, Elephone P8, and the Doogee S60. Both chipsets are almost identical, the only difference between them is the clock rate of the performance cluster. In the Helio P25, it is usually clocked at 2.5GHz or 2.6GHz, while in the Helio P20, it is clocked at 2.3GHz. Very often, the performance of smartphones based on P20 is similar to that of the devices with Helio P25 inside. Take for example the AnTuTu score. Our review unit got 62249 points, which is even a bit higher than the AnTuTu result of Ulefone T1 and the Ulefone Armor 2. The Basemark OS II results from all models are close, however, the S2 scores significantly less in the Basemark X test. Our UMIDIGI S2 has a better single-core result from the Geekbench 4 compared to the other models and its multi-core result is very close to theirs. The GFXBench results of the S2 are either on par or even better than those of the other devices. It is the 3DMark tests that show a noticeable difference that's in favour of the P25-based devices. The Androbench sequential reading speed is very high for an eMMC 5.1 type storage - 282.56 MB/s, and is the highest one compared to the result of all above-mentioned smartphones.Elephone P8 (2017) | 66491 (MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD)) |
